FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an implantable spinal cylindrical electrode. The electrode contains an outer shell and a fixing unit at the distal end. At the proximal and distal ends of the outer shell there are electrical contacts for transmitting the stimulation impulse. The electrode has a flared tip and a flared stylet. On the outer surface of the expanding tip there is a rounded edge, a protrusion or depression in the form of a groove or a step, made of elastic material and having an internal cone-shaped hole and a longitudinal section. The expanding stylet is located in the internal lumen of the electrode. The stylet is an axis made of rigid material with an expansion element fixed at the distal end and a stopper at the proximal end.
EFFECT: long-term fixation of the distal end of the spinal cylindrical electrode is ensured while maintaining minimally invasive implantation, the possibility of atraumatic deimplantation, and the flexibility of the electrode.
