FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: endocardial electrodes of a deimplanted antiarrhythmic device are cross-sectioned. A recipient's heart is removed together with proximal segments of the sectioned endocardial electrodes. Distal segments of the sectioned endocardial electrodes and a generator of the antiarrhythmic device are left in an original projection. They are removed and replaced simultaneously with re-implanting a new stimulation system not earlier than three weeks after the cardiac transplantation. The new endocardial electrodes are implanted with the use of stiletto holes of the distal segment of the endocardial electrodes, wherein a guide wire is delivered up to a point of the expected implantation of the endocardial electrode; thereafter, the distal segment of the sectioned electrode is removed by traction along the guide wire.

EFFECT: method enables increasing safety and increasing the number of complications accompanying replacing the endocardial electrodes of the implanted antiarrhythmic devices.
