FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat dental discoloration caused by non-carious lesions of the enamel. Intravital determination of the depth of decrease in fluorescence of the affected area (Δ Fmax) using quantitative light-induced fluorescence (QLF) is performed. At average ΔF max value from -10.5 to -15%, it is determined that the affected area is located in the surface layers of the enamel. In this case, treatment steps are performed sequentially: microabrasion of the affected areas with a suspension containing 6.6% hydrochloric acid with abrasive particles of silicon carbide; enamel polishing; application of a remineralizing drug with calcium and magnesium glycerophosphate without fluoride content for 14–30 days in mouthguards for 20–30 minutes once a day. At average ΔF max value from -15.5 to -25%, it is determined that the affected area is located in the deep layers of the enamel. In this case, treatment steps are performed sequentially: microabrasion of the affected areas with a suspension containing 6.6% hydrochloric acid with abrasive particles of silicon carbide; infiltration of affected areas with composite resin. At average ΔF max value from -25.5 to -35%, it is determined that the affected area is located in all layers of the enamel and surface dentin. In this case, the stages of treatment are performed sequentially: preparation of the affected areas with diamond-coated burs; infiltration of affected areas with composite resin; restoration of affected areas with composite light-curing dental material.
EFFECT: developed method for choosing tactics for minimally invasive treatment of dental discoloration allows, taking into account the determined localization of the affected area, to select personalized treatment aimed at restoring the enamel structure.
