FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: lime chemical ameliorants produced in beet sugar production during the defecation of beet juice. The method of obtaining an ameliorant lime fertilizer for acidic soils from filter sludge - sugar beet production lime cake includes obtaining diffuse juice from sugar beets, purifying the diffuse juice with lime, saturation, thickening the diffuse juice, separating the lime cake from sugar. Processing diffusion juice heated to 55-58°C is carried out by adding lime in the form of lime milk with a density of 1.18-1.22 g/cm3, with saturation of the resulting solution with CO2 gas, bringing alkalinity to 0.15-0.20% CaO, corresponding to pH of 10.8 -10.9. Subsequent treatment of the diffusion juice with lime milk is carried out in a cold defecator with a juice alkalinity index of 0.7-0.8% CaO by weight of beets, then juice is heated to 87-90°C, supplied for hot defecation and treatment with lime milk to bring alkalinity to 1.0-1.2% CaO, additional cleaning of defecated juice from lime with carbonated gas CO2 to an alkalinity of 0.08-0.11% CaO, corresponding to pH of 10.8-11.0, feeding the juice into the degasser, where the remaining CO2 is removed. After which the juice is distributed to decanter-settlers, where the purified juice is separated into clarified decantate juice and a thickened suspension of sediment with a pH of 10.8-11.0, while the suspension is continuously taken into the suspension collector and pumped to press-chamber filters, working in the automatic mode. The suspension is washed with water, followed by pressing and blowing with dry compressed air to a specified dry matter content and a moisture content of at least 30% of the sediment discharged from the filter press. The resulting ameliorant lime fertilizer is in the form of a homogeneous, moist, plastic mass, with a pH of 10.8-11.0, with the chemical formula of CaCO3 + MgCO3, with the total mass fraction of calcium and magnesium carbonates, in terms of CaCO3 - not less than 40%, with the active ingredient content of calcium carbonate - not less than 28%, mass fraction of organic matter - not less than 8.6%, mass fraction of nitrogen (N), calculated on dry matter - not less than 0.21%, mass fraction of phosphorus (P2O5), in terms of dry matter - not less than 0.89%, mass fraction of potassium (K2O), in terms of dry matter - not less than 0.06%.
EFFECT: most complete utilization of available waste - defecate from beet sugar production with the possibility of its beneficial use in agriculture.
