FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: used for wastewater treatment in wastewater treatment plants. A method for preventing the floating of sludge and foaming in treatment facilities involves applying fly ash to the surface of the water in an aeration tank in an amount from 0.5 g/m2 to 100 g/m2 of the tank. Fly ash containing more than 15% calcium oxide is poured through a sieve with an area of more than 0.5-1 m2 with a cell size of 1-3 mm in less than 10-30 s above the surface of a ferrite magnet along an inclined plane.
EFFECT: increasing the density of sludge sediment.
