FIELD: catalytic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: catalyst for the catalytic photodestruction of organic and inorganic compounds in a solution based on a powder of titanium microparticles is proposed, characterized by the fact that it is an active layer on the surface of titanium metal particles - the catalyst carrier, with a thickness in the range of 15÷25 nm in the form of a phase mixture of TiN, TiON, TiO2, with the content of components along the depth of the layer from the surface to the core of the carrier particle in the range of 0÷30 mol.%, 0÷23 mol.%, 100÷47 mol.%, respectively, and with distance from the surface of the catalyst layer, the concentration of TiN increases, and the concentration of TiO2 decreases. A method for producing a catalyst based on powder from titanium microparticles is also proposed.
EFFECT: production of a photocatalyst with high efficiency in reactions of catalytic photodestruction of organic and inorganic compounds in solution.
