FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering. Disclosed is a carbon monoxide photo-oxidation catalyst which contains a support based on nanocrystalline titanium dioxide in an anatase modification, which contains up to 1 wt.% nitrogen impurity in the crystal lattice. Pd or Pt nanoparticles or mixtures thereof are deposited on the surface of the support by impregnation, with ratio of platinum to palladium equal to 4:1. Content of Pd or Pt or mixture thereof in the catalyst is equal to 0.05–4 wt.%.

EFFECT: invention enables to clean air from carbon monoxide at a high rate at room temperature.
