Abstract RU 2789160 C2

FIELD: water/air purification.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of a technology of photocatalytic decomposition of pollutants for water or air purification, namely to a product including nitrogen-doped TiO2 (TiO2-N) in the form of powder or suspension of nanoparticles in a solvent, which can be used as an active photocatalyst, when irradiating with UV and visible or solar light. The suspension of nanoparticles of nitrogen-doped TiO2 (TiO2-N) in an organic and/or aqueous solvent is described, in which nanoparticles of TiO2-N include at least a crystal phase of brookite in amount from 10 to 74% by wt. of the weight of nanoparticles, a crystal phase of rutile in amount from 25 to 89% by wt. of the weight of nanoparticles, and a crystal phase of anatase in amount from 1 to 10% by wt. of the weight of nanoparticles, and in which a content of doping nitrogen in nanoparticles of TiO2-N is from 1 to 5% by wt. The suspension is stable during a period exceeding 6 months, does not form precipitates or separated phases.

EFFECT: due to the presence of a crystal phase of brookite, which increases a photocatalytic potential of TiO2-N, when irradiating with UV and visible or solar light, a suspension shows photocatalytic properties, which are comparable or even exceed properties of nanoparticles of TiO2-N, known in this field of technology.
