SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for monitoring and assessing the quality of driving a car. The effect is achieved by the fact that a method for determining the operational parameters of a car, recorded when moving in a convoy, containing a car computer, a memory block containing reference information about the quality of driving a car with ranges of acceptable values with the ability to compare them with the determined values, as well as local storage of the accumulated system information about past trips, an operating parameters monitoring unit with operational parameters monitoring sensors, characterized in that the crankshaft speed, coolant temperature, fuel consumption blocks from the vehicle’s on-board computer with their corresponding monitoring sensors are additionally introduced into the operating parameters monitoring unit, also in the method an accelerometer is used, with the ability to determine sharp braking, acceleration, turns and vertical vibrations of the car body, a user interface with a plug-in display that displays information about the distance to the vehicle in front with an opposition scale, a speaker for playing voice messages, a buzzer signalling the need to increase and/or decrease the current distances, a traffic zone scanning unit with a transceiver module for data on the distance between cars walking in a convoy, a control portable unit for controlling and collecting information about the state of the driving quality of cars in a convoy and the movement of a car convoy with a transceiver module and a monitor, while these blocks are connected to a repository of accumulated driving statistics with the ability to compare them with determined values; in addition, the speaker for reproducing voice messages is connected to the user interface.

EFFECT: expanded functionality, increased accuracy of assessing the quality of driving a car, by making changes to the design of the proposed device and taking into account a number of control values of dynamic, including critical and dangerous, and operational parameters recorded while driving car and control the distance between cars when moving in an organized convoy.
