FIELD: non-destructive testing.

SUBSTANCE: magnetoelastic transducer for determining mechanical stresses in ferromagnetic materials contains a housing, a main U-shaped core installed in it with an excitation winding placed on it, and is additionally equipped with two identical U-shaped measuring cores on which the measuring windings are located. The plane of their placement is perpendicular to the plane of the main core, while the measuring cores are located on different sides of the controlled ferromagnetic object in such a way that the projections of their contact surfaces coincide.

EFFECT: increased noise immunity and increased measurement accuracy.
