FIELD: reactor engineering.
SUBSTANCE: throttling device for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor consists of a main body and a rotor. The inner part of the main body is equipped with a cavity in which a part of the rotor is rotatably located. The housing is equipped with supply and output channels located around the circumference of the rotor and communicating with the cavity. The outer wall of the rotor blocks the supply and output channels, and the surface of the rotor is provided with a receiving bowl for alignment with one of the supply and output channels. The inner wall of the receiving bowl is equipped with a through hole that communicates with the through air flow channel in the main body, which makes it possible to purge the supply and output channels and the receiving bowl.
EFFECT: increased reliability by solving the problem of rotor jamming.
