FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to install a short circuit indicator (SCI) on the wire of an overhead power line (OPL). The clamp for attaching a short circuit indicator (SCI) to an overhead power line wire, installed in the upper part of the SCI housing, contains two brackets: a clamping one and a stopping one, designed to encircle and hold the overhead power line wire between them. The brackets are mounted on axes fixed to the base of the clamp, and have the ability to rotate on these axes, while the clamping bracket is equipped with a spring installed on its axis, designed to move this bracket towards the stopping bracket, the stopping bracket is equipped with a spacer rod capable of holding the stopping bracket at a distance from the clamping bracket which allows the wire to pass into the clamping space of the clamps, and the stopping bracket is equipped with a folding thrust lever that holds it stationary relative to the base of the clamp in the “SCI online” position. In the “SCI online” position, there is a gap between the bottom of the clamping bracket and the horizontal surface of the base, which allows the support bracket to be moved from its place when the folding support lever is turned upwards due to the force developed by the clamping bracket.
EFFECT: fulfilment of the purpose.
