FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to install a short circuit indicator (SCI) on the wire of an overhead power line (OPL). A device for attaching a short circuit indicator (SCI) to an overhead power line wire is located in the upper part of the square SCI case. It contains two brackets equipped with recesses: a clamping one and a holding one, designed to encircle and hold an overhead power line wire between them. The brackets are mounted on axes fixed to the base and can be rotated on these axes. The clamping bracket is equipped with a spring located on its axis, designed to move this bracket towards the holding bracket. The holding bracket is designed to interact with a folding hold lever, holding it stationary relative to the base in the “SCI online” position. The bottom of the clamping bracket is designed to interact with the horizontal surface of the base. The clamp stop is equipped with a blind hole. A protrusion is inserted on the side surface of the clamping bracket, interacting with a spacer rod, the second end of which is located in the blind hole of the clamping bracket stop. There is a strong thread tied at one end to the insulating rod and the other end to the spacer rod.
EFFECT: fulfilment of the purpose.
