SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plug for long-term preservation of the wellhead tree of an underwater oil and gas well. The plug contains a body having an end on which a seal is installed that interacts with the end of the head of a horizontal line of an underwater oil and gas well. The plug also has fixing elements installed on the side of the body end, sling elements, and control elements. Elements for fixing the plug on a horizontal line of an underwater oil and gas well are made in the form of at least one fixed and at least one movable cams. The cams have a protruding cone-shaped surface. When the movable cam moves to the axis of the plug when the conical surface interacts with the mating surface on the horizontal line of the underwater oil and gas well, the end of the plug is pressed against the end of the head of the horizontal line of the underwater oil and gas well. The sling element is configured to be installed on the body in such a way that at least one cam located in the upper part of the plug is located closer to the end of the horizontal line of the oil and gas well. The control element for the movable cam of the plug is made in the form of a threaded rod that interacts with the threaded hole of the movable cam, which has a cylindrical section for rapid movement of the movable cam. The control element also has a groove for axial fixation of the rod, and a threaded section for final fixation of the plug. The rod is located in the housing; a seal is installed at the end of the housing, interacting with the end of the head of the horizontal line of the oil and gas underwater well.

EFFECT: reduced likelihood of leakage of the working medium when plugging a horizontal line of an oil and gas underwater well and facilitated installation of the plug on the head of a horizontal line of an underwater oil and gas well.
