FIELD: aviation technology.
SUBSTANCE: protective coating for aircraft glazing for temporary protection from mechanical damage and a method for its production. The protective coating has the following composition, wt. parts: polyvinyl alcohol - 137.5, technical glycerine - 40.0, distilled water - 1000.0. The coating preparation method involves grinding a sample of polyvinyl alcohol to powder, heating distilled water to a temperature of 80-85°C, mixing the sample of polyvinyl alcohol with distilled water for 30-40 minutes, cooling the resulting solution to a temperature in the range from 40 to 60°C, adding technical glycerine, stirring for 10-15 minutes, cooling to a temperature in the range from 25 to 30°C, and filtration of the liquid mass through a mesh.
EFFECT: protection of aircraft glazing surfaces from mechanical damage and improved peelability of the coating.
