FIELD: carbon fibres.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing finished carbon fibres and may be used as structural polymer materials for the production of special-purpose products in additive processes. The method for producing sizing carbon fibres is based on sizing carbon fibre by applying a sizing composition from a solution, followed by drying in a drying oven under vacuum at 59-60°C, while the sizing composition, which is a mixture of 4-[(4-aminobenzene)isopropyl]aniline (ABIA) and 4-[(4-hydroxybenzene)isopropyl]phenol (OBIF), is applied from a solution with a concentration of 0.75 wt.% in an organic highly volatile solvent acetone and a stepwise increase in temperature is carried out with simultaneous distillation of the solvent and exposure to ultrasound with an operating frequency of 46 kHz according to the following mode: 20°C - 5 min; 30°C – 2.5 min; 40°C – 2.5 min; 60°C - 5 min; 70°C - 5 min; 75°C - 3 min, and the quantitative ratio of the components corresponds, in wt.%: Carbon fibre - 95.5, OBIF - 1.0 - 3.5, ABIA - 3.5 - 1.0. The invention also relates to a polymer composite intended for the production of special-purpose structural products in additive technology, based on polyetherimide and reinforcing carbon fibre, obtained by the method of producing sizing carbon fibres, and the quantitative ratio of the components in the polymer composite corresponds, in wt.%: Polyetherimide – 80, Dressed carbon fibre – 20.
EFFECT: developing a method for producing coated carbon fibres and obtaining polymer composites with improved thermal resistance values based on a polyetherimide matrix polymer reinforced with coated carbon fibre as a filler.
