FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: methods for producing lead-brass powder, which can be used for applying wear-resistant, anti-friction, corrosion-resistant and extreme pressure coatings. The method involves electric and erosive dispersion of LS58-3 grade alloy waste in isopropyl alcohol at a voltage at the electrodes of 150-200 V, a condenser capacitance of 45-65 μF and a pulse repetition rate of 50-100 Hz.
EFFECT: ensuring the production of powder of regular spherical, elliptical shape and agglomerates with a uniform distribution of alloying elements.
