FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production of an alloy from lead brass powder LS58-3, used in mechanical engineering to protect machine parts from wear. The method for producing an alloy from lead brass powder LS58-3 includes providing the alloy powder and carrying out sintering. At the same time, lead brass powder LS58-3 is provided, obtained by electric erosive dispersion of waste brass LS58-3 in distilled water, and then spark plasma sintering of the powders is carried out at a temperature of T = 100°C, pressure P=40 MPa and holding time t=5 min.
EFFECT: resulting alloys are characterized by high physical and mechanical properties.
