FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: methods for determining the performance of antenna arrays (AA) based on measuring its characteristics. The method is proposed for determining the location of a single failure in an antenna array with a tree-like structure for dividing the power of a radio-electronic system (RES) of the microwave range, which differs from the prototype in that they additionally carry out thermal imaging control of the antenna array during its operation, and from the obtained thermography the numbers of the failed radiating elements are determined: they are uniquely compared with the number of the supply line of the power division level Kj,i on which the failure occurred, based on the known topology of the AA, and the impossibility of comparing the numbers of failed radiating elements with the number of the supply line of the power division level Kj,i is a sign of repetition refusal.
EFFECT: increase in the level of reliability in determining the number of the supply line of the power division level Kj,i on which the failure occurred.
