FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the production of aminotrimethylenephosphonic (nitrilotrimethylenephosphonic) acid. The following is presented: a method of production of nitrilotrimethylenephosphonic acid characterized by the following: the said acid is obtained by treating the reaction mixture with 2-phenylpropane at the temperature range of 81–90°C, at the following ratios of components, mas.%: 11.08–9.14 of ammonium chloride, 44.18–44.81 of phosphorous acid, 16.16–16.40 of paraformaldehyde, 4.92–5.19 of hydrogen chloride, 11.19–11.36 of water, 12.45–13.11 of 2-phenylpropane.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides a simple, cost-effective, controlled method of obtaining the target aminotrimethylenephosphonic acid.
