FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing aminotrimethylenephosphonic acid, which is of great practical importance as a product that is widely used as a scale inhibitor during drilling operations, a component of a wide range of synthetic detergents and many other industries. The method consists in obtaining the target product by treating the reaction mixture with carbon tetrachloride in the temperature range of 77-87 °C at the following ratios (wt.%) of components: ammonium chloride - 11.24÷8.96; phosphorous acid - 44.79÷42.55; paraformaldehyde - 16.38÷15.57, hydrogen chloride - 3.83÷4.58; water - 7.6÷9.04; carbon tetrachloride - 16.16÷19.3.
EFFECT: development of a simple, controlled method for the production of aminotrimethylenephosphonic acid.
