FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: synthesis of complexones, specifically a method of producing nitrilotrimethylenephosphonic acid (NTP), used as a scale inhibitor during drilling operations, in heat power engineering, in the production of synthetic detergents and construction. The production method is characterized by the fact that NTP is obtained by treating the reaction mixture with cyclohexane, under the temperature range of 78–88°C, with the following ratios of raw materials, wt.%: 12.1–9.76 of ammonium chloride; 46.35–44.87 of phosphorous acid; 16.95–16.41 of paraformaldehyde; 3.7–5.00 of hydrogen chloride; 11.39–12.47 of water; 9.5–11.49 of cyclohexane.
EFFECT: obtaining the target product under simple, economical, “soft” and controlled conditions.
