FIELD: measurement instruments.

SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic means for measuring the inhomogeneous complex stress-strain state of loaded structures. A fibre-optic sensor of a complex stress-strain state contains an extended frame - a buffer layer, six measuring elements located inside the frame co-directionally with its axis. Each measuring element includes a fibre-optic light guide and a mechanical-optical sensitive element located inside the light guide and made in the form of a fibre-optic Bragg grating, with an elastic reinforcing element located inside the frame.

EFFECT: determination of six independent components and/or three main values of the stress tensor for a complex stress state.
