SUBSTANCE: method of monitoring and detecting minimal residual disease in breast cancer, as well as a method of monitoring and detecting early recurrence or metastasis of colorectal cancer, is described. The claimed methods involve the use of high-throughput sequencing with a read depth of at least 100,000 per amplicon and the detection of two or more patient-specific single nucleotide variants above a confidence threshold of 0.97.
EFFECT: invention expands the range of diagnostic tools for breast cancer treatment.
