FIELD: closures for containers.
SUBSTANCE: device contains an internal cap element for connection with the neck of the container, which has an upper wall and a side wall extending from the edge of the upper wall, an external cap element movably connected to the internal cap element. The outer cap element has a top wall and a side wall extending from an edge of the top wall. Between the inner and outer cap elements there is a transponder containing a chip and an antenna. The device includes at least two first capacitor plates, each of which is connected to the chip. The plates are attached to one of the upper wall of the inner cap element and the upper wall of the outer cap element. The device includes at least a second capacitor plate attached to another of an upper wall of the inner cap element and an upper wall of the outer cap element such that relative movement of the outer and inner cap elements switches the closure element between the first configuration in which the first capacitor plates and the second capacitor the plate defines a capacitor having the first capacitance, and the second configuration in which the first capacitor plates and the second capacitor plate define a capacitor having the second capacitance different from the first capacitance.
