FIELD: pneumatic tires.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire contains a pair of bead sections, a bead core and a carcass. The core is formed by winding bead wire into a ring and has a polygonal cross-sectional shape. The frame is formed by applying covering rubber to the frame cord. The core has sections in the form of a vertical line running along the radial direction of the tire. The line has a length of 20% to 30% and a distance from the bottom surface of the core to the inner end portion of 30% to 40% relative to the height of the core. The core contains a plurality of bead wire annular sections and a plurality of layers. In two of the layers, the number of wires is increased by two or more and a displacement in the transverse direction between the wires is obtained that is half the thickness of the bead wire. The side on which the amount of displacement between the wires in the first and second layer is half the thickness of the wire is opposite to the side on which the amount of displacement between the wires in the second and third layer is half the thickness of the wire.
EFFECT: improved wear resistance of the bead section, improved air tightness properties in the bead section and preventing the rim slippage.
