SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for extracting capillary and cellular moisture from tree trunks, as well as lumber of various species and sections. The stacked wood is loaded into a microwave vacuum chamber (1), the microwave vacuum chamber is evacuated, the wood is heated with high frequency microwaves using a microwave module (3) and associated waveguide-slot emitters (9), and the air-steam mixture is removed. In this case, the wood in the stack is placed with a gap, the microwave vacuum chamber is evacuated using a pump (10), designed to create a vacuum in the range of 0.3-0.99 atm, and energy transfer and heating of the wood is carried out using waveguide slot emitters, placed on the side walls of the microwave vacuum chamber along its entire length and height. The condensate formed on the walls of the microwave vacuum chamber is removed from the chamber through a drainage pipe, coarse and fine cleaning of the collected wood capillary and cellular moisture is carried out and then it is collected in the receiving container of the finished product (6).

EFFECT: efficiency of extracting wood capillary and cellular moisture from the tree trunk while preserving useful substances increases.
