FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: equipment for the production of experimental batches of flux-cored wires for welding or surfacing when designing multicomponent compositions of surfacing alloys or weld metal. The forming unit of the installation contains a preforming cage for obtaining the initial concave profile of the metal strip, a forming cage for obtaining a U-shaped profile of the metal strip, a gate unit for distributing and leveling the powder charge, a supporting unit that prevents twisting of the formed strip with the charge, and a cage covering the edges of the formed cored wire sheaths. The forming rollers are made replaceable, the dispenser of the powder charge filling unit is made with a valve for adjusting the amount of supplied charge, and the gate unit contains a gate with an adjustable reach and diameter of its working end.
EFFECT: high reliability of the fill factor of the cored wire.
