FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: drum device contains a loading device, a container (1) with water and a horizontally installed drum (2) driven into rotation, divided into alternating sections - injection and exhaust, having holes located around the circumference of the drum (2), and blades (13 and 11), installed at an angle to the surface of the drum (2). The blades (13) of the injection sections are directed towards the rotation of the drum (2), the exhaust (11) - towards the rotation of the drum (2). An ejector (14) of tuberous roots is installed inside the drum (2). The loading device additionally contains a receiving chamber (8), configured to supply tuberous roots from the loading tray (9) into the cavity of the drum (2). In this case, the chamber (8) has the shape of a hollow truncated cone, the axis of rotation of which coincides with the axis of rotation of the drum (2), the larger base of this cone is smaller than the diameter of the drum (2) and partially enters its cavity. The cone with its side surface is rigidly and hermetically connected to the front wall of the container (1), the smaller base of the cone in diameter is designed to accommodate bearings under the drum shaft (2) in its cut plane, and is rigidly and hermetically sealed by a disk with a hole for the bearings. The cavity of chamber (8) communicates with the cavity of loading tray (9), which is rigidly and hermetically connected to the chamber (8) from above. A rim (3) is rigidly attached to the inner side surface of the drum (2), from the side of the receiving chamber (8), and at least three spokes (10) are rigidly attached to this rim (3) in a vertical plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the drum (2), evenly distributed around the circumference, the free ends of which are rigidly attached to the side surface of the shaft (5) of the drum (2). The drum device additionally contains a system that allows the treated root crops to be exposed to a fluid medium in the direction from the receiving chamber (8) along the drum (2), and along its lower part. The system includes a tubular tip (4), hermetically connected to the front wall of the container (1) in such a way that its axis of rotation is parallel to the axis of rotation of the drum (2) and lies in the same vertical plane with the axis of rotation of the drum (2). The working end of the tip (4) partially enters the cavity of the drum (2) and is located on the side of its lower part. A pipeline (6) with a valve (7) is hermetically connected to the tip (4), to its opposite end. The drum cover (2) on the side opposite the receiving chamber (8) with the loading tray (9) is made to form holes located around the circle, the rotation axes of which are shifted towards the side surface of the drum (2). These holes are covered with mesh on the outside.
EFFECT: quality of washing tuberous roots is improved, as well as the process of unloading them from the device is stabilized.
