FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: titanium-based alloys used for manufacture of high-strength semi-finished products of a wide range, mainly stamped and forged forgings, sheets, plates, billets, rods, including large ones, as well as semi-finished products for the manufacture of parts operating at elevated temperatures that can be used in aerospace, energy, chemical industries, mechanical engineering and other industrial fields. The high-strength titanium-based alloy contains, wt.%: aluminium – 5.0-7.0, molybdenum – 6.0-12.0, niobium – 2.0-6.5, tungsten – 2.5-4.5, silicon – 0.1-0.3, iron – no more than 0.2, oxygen – no more than 0.17, carbon – no more than 0.05, nitrogen – no more than 0.01, hydrogen – no more than 0.01, titanium and inevitable impurities - the balance.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength values with satisfactory ductility, as well as an increased level of creep resistance and oxidation resistance.
