FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: klystron-type microwave electric vacuum generators and their resonant systems. A small-type three-gap klystron resonator with strip lines on a dielectric substrate consists of a coaxial two-gap resonator having a cylindrical shell and a flight tube, and an additional oscillatory system located inside the coaxial resonator, which is made in the form of two metal half-cylinders connected to the resonator shell and the flight tube, separated into two parts with an additional gap. The flight tubes are made multichannel and can have a shape other than cylindrical; the additional oscillatory system is made in the form of strip lines and placed on a dielectric substrate, for example, made of diamond.
EFFECT: increase in the characteristic resistance and quality factor of the resonator, suppression of higher types of vibrations, tuning the resonator to multiple resonant frequencies, and an increase in klystron efficiency.
