SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the generation of electrical oscillations. For this, in the master oscillator, in particular, the drift klystrons are made in a single vacuum volume, resonant structure is common to all klystrons and consists of back-to-back high-quality strip resonant lines, placed in a common dielectric body with a metallized coating and arranged on the suspended ceramic substrate, installed perpendicular to the electron beams movement direction, each strip resonant line internal conductors are connected to two central drift tubes, respectively, mounted on one axis with end drift tubes, one of the central drift tubes is located near the corresponding strip resonance line open end, and the other is near the corresponding strip resonant line short-circuited end, wherein between the central drift tubes and the end drift tubes end portions N of high-frequency gaps are formed.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the klystron type electrovacuum microwave oscillator generated radiation electronic efficiency and power when operating in the millimeter and submillimeter wavelength ranges.
