FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a veterinary composition that can be used to control iron deficiency and/or anemic conditions in a non-human mammal. The proposed veterinary composition contains an aqueous colloidal solution of beta-iron oxyhydroxide and glucopentonic acid dextran as the only active ingredient and polyvinylpyrrolidone.
EFFECT: use of polyvinylpyrrolidone provides increased antianemic efficacy and improved tissue distribution of the iron complex in non-human mammals.
