FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a porous stainless-steel base for solid oxide fuel cells. A mixture comprising components in the following ratio, wt.%: stainless steel powder: triethanolamine: starch = 95.0–97.5: 1.25–5.0: 0.0–2.5 is prepared by stirring for 6 hours. The resulting suspension is transferred to a graphite crucible and dried with a gradual increase in temperature from 100°C from up to 360° C for 2 hours. The dried composition is sintered at 1100°C for 4 hours in a vacuum to ensure the decomposition of triethanolamine and starch. The porous support comprises, wt.%: Fe 60.6–64.0%, Cr 11.8–12.9, O 7.9–9.8, C 3.4–5.7, Ni 4.3–4.6%, other elements, including Si, Mn, Cu 6.7–7.2.
EFFECT: high porosity and gas permeability with optimal hardness.
