FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fish passage structures designed to allow fish to pass through the retaining structures of river hydrosystems to spawning areas. The fish passage and spawning channel includes entrance head 4 (for fish), fish passage tract 5, made of a meandering planned outline, fish resting (settlement) areas 6, head regulator 32 and output head 33 (for fish), with the right and left bank slopes of the zones rest (settlement) of fish 6 that have trapezoidal cross-section are equipped with spawning devices that provide the ability to lay, wind up and wash the spawning fabric with a spawning substrate in the form of artificial vegetation fixed on it during the operation of the canal and create conditions for the spawning of phytophilic fish species moving along the plane of the slopes of the channel’s fish passage tract 5.
EFFECT: use of a fish passage-spawning channel provides favourable conditions for rest (settlement) of fish moving along the bottom and slopes of the fish passage tract, and creates the necessary hydrometric and technical conditions for spawning in their aquatic space of phytophilic fish species moving to spawning grounds mainly along the slopes of the fish passage tract.
