FIELD: agricultural production.
SUBSTANCE: following is disclosed: a method of determining the boundaries of moisture distribution in the soil during intrasoil point application, which consists in placing a measuring rod with a tip into the soil, removing it, and determining soil moisture. Warm 40–50°C solution of 2% trivalent potassium iron sulphide (red blood salt) is prepared, in the said solution gelatine is dissolved in an amount of 7%, poured into the holes closed on one side in each measuring rod, leave until completely solidified and the formation of helium tablets; until use, the measuring rods are kept in dark packaging, to measure the boundaries of moisture distribution during intrasoil point injection of liquid, a hollow rod connected to a container containing a 1% solution of iron or copper sulphate is used, it is fed into the soil under pressure, the rod is inserted into the soil to a depth of 40 cm, each rod is buried into the soil to a depth of 60 cm and placed every 10 cm and successively evenly shifted to one side, starting from the stem, in a 1% solution of iron sulphate colours helium tablets blue, in a 1% solution of copper sulphate colours helium tablets red, after 2 hours, the rods are removed and based on the number of measuring rods with coloured helium tablets and the distribution of coloured helium tablets along the height of the rod, a conclusion is drawn about the distribution of moisture around the point of application. Also the following is disclosed: a device for determining the boundaries of moisture distribution in the soil.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to significantly reduce the consumption of fertilizers and irrigation water.
