FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: medical contact quick freezer is designed to quickly freeze individual bags containing medical liquid. Individual bags are located side by side, adjacent to each other. The contact quick freezer includes a pair of freezing plates comprising an upper freezing plate and a lower freezing plate. One of the upper and lower plates of the said pair of freezing plates is a stationary freezing plate, it is fixed and does not move. The other plate of the upper and lower plates of the said pair of freezing plates is a movable freezing plate, it is made movable to establish a loading position in which there is sufficient distance between the freezing plates for loading or unloading individual bags between the freezing plates, and a freezing position in which each individual bag is in contact with the contact surface of the upper freezing plate and the contact surface of the lower freezing plate and is pressed between them. The movement between the loading position and the freezing position of the said pair of freezing plates is achieved by linear and vertical movement of the movable freezing plate. The contact surfaces of the upper and lower freezing plates of the said pair of freezing plates are parallel in their freezing position and they remain parallel when they move between the loading position and the freezing position. In the freezing position, the contact surface of the upper freezing plate is at angle of ≥2° and ≤30° to the horizon. A method of rapid freezing of individual bags containing medical liquid is disclosed.
