FIELD: cooling or freezing apparatus.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises housing, heat insulated chamber that receives pipes of evaporator of the refrigerator, holders for polymeric containers with liquid biological agent, and two plates provided with mirror-symmetrical rows of openings. The plates are mounted inside the chamber parallel one to the other to define spaces between them and between each plate and wall of the chamber. The centers of the openings are located at the vertical parallel straight lines. The diameters of the openings are at least no less than the outer diameters of the pipes of the evaporator. The distance between the adjacent parallel lines exceeds the sum of the outer diameter of the evaporator pipes and thickness of the holder. The space between plates that face each other is no less than the width of the holder. The evaporator pipes are set in the openings in the plates and are connected through branch pipes in the spaces between the plates and walls of chamber to form an evaporator. The holders are interposed between the rows of pipes of the evaporator.

EFFECT: enhanced rate of freezing.
