FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: operation of compressor stations of main gas pipelines (hereinafter - CS), in particular gas purification units. The method consists in the fact that gas from the CS purification unit is directed to the CS condensate collector through an equalizing pipeline and supplied to the low-pressure output gas pipeline of the gas distribution station (hereinafter referred to as the GDS) through the gas ejection unit. The output pipeline of the gas ejection unit is connected to the output pipeline of the GDS through a metering unit with a control valve designed to limit the gas flow within the limits allowed by the operational characteristics of the gas metering unit of the GDS. In this case, by opening the control valve, gas is supplied from the gas ejection unit to the low pressure inlet pipeline of the gas metering unit. After reaching the residual gas pressure in the condensate collector equal to the gas pressure in the low-pressure output pipeline of the GDS, open the valve at the inlet of the gas ejection unit and turn on the ejector, which ensures complete pumping of the residual gas in the CS condensate collector. The effect is complete elimination of gas emissions into the atmosphere during purging of gas purification units of the compressor station and gas metering by means of gas flow measurement.

EFFECT: increased energy saving and environmental efficiency of the gas transportation system, as well as accurate metering of gas consumption for process needs.
