SUBSTANCE: chemical fire extinguishing agents, and more specifically means for volumetric fire extinguishing, the fire extinguishing composition of which, during combustion, generates active substances, combustion inhibitors, used to suppress fires in confined spaces. An aerosol-forming fire extinguishing composition for extinguishing fires in enclosed spaces includes an oxidizing agent - potassium nitrate, a flammable binder - iditol and a combustion activator - thiourea. Additionally contains potassium sorbate. The components are contained in the following ratio, wt.%: potassium nitrate - 65-75, iditol - 12-17, thiourea - 5-10, potassium sorbate - 5-10.

EFFECT: maximum efficiency of volumetric fire extinguishing is ensured, as well as increased manufacturability and production safety.
