FIELD: chemical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: chemical engineering apparatus and methods for their manufacture used in the chemical, food, energy and other industries to carry out heat and mass transfer processes in gas and/or liquid - solid systems. The method for assembling a horizontal cylindrical heat and mass transfer apparatus, including a shaft with working bodies for carrying out heat and mass transfer processes, an apparatus body and bandages on the outer surface of the apparatus body, consists in first assembling the shaft, installing at least two rows of spokes on the shaft, then the body of the apparatus is assembled from rolled sheet metal in the form of separate sections, connecting them with the edges of the tires, elements with internal threads and screws are installed in the upper part of the spokes, with the help of which the distance between the shaft and the tires is smoothly adjusted and the tires are centered relative to the shaft, after centering the tires relative the shaft, bandages are installed on the ends of the spokes.
EFFECT: increasing the manufacturability of cylindrical devices and reducing metal consumption, obtaining devices of greater productivity and volume with simplified assembly and alignment of the working parts of the device.
