FIELD: masts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a mast for attaching antennas, flags and signs to it. The telescopic mast contains tubular links of different diameters that fit into each other, in which plugs are installed on the link of the largest diameter and on the link of the smallest diameter on the outer sides of the mast, having holes that allow water to penetrate inside the mast. Inside the mast there is a cylindrical compression spring, with its outer coils resting on the plugs of the links of the largest and smallest diameters. On the surface of the spring there is a dry, water-soluble substance - crystalline table salt, which holds the spring in a compressed state.
EFFECT: provision of elongation of the mast when it enters water due to the internal energy of the compression spring, which expands after dissolving the substance that kept it in a compressed state.
