FIELD: sports.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports equipment, specifically, to a discus for athletic throwing. Discus for athletic throwing has two main parts. The first part defines the external contours of the body with an observation window, convex on both sides. The second part is a movable section contained in the body, consisting of a movable load attached to a tension spring at one end closest to the centre of the discus, with the other end of the spring being fixed in the middle of the discus body. The movable section also has a double-beam grip with protrusions facing the movable load at the ends of the beams. The double-beam grip is made of a spring-loaded material, therefore the wedge-shaped protrusion of the body separates the beams thereof. The movable section has a compression spring fixed on the inner surface thereof and fixed by the second end in the middle of the double-beam grip. After the discus is thrown by the athlete, when the pressure from the fingers on the movable section is gone, the spring-loaded double-beam grip start moving to the outer edge of the discus, sliding along the wedge-shaped protrusion with the beams, leading to the protrusions of the grips joining on the relief surface of the movable load. After the discus lands, the distance of removal of the movable load from the centre of the discus can be estimated through the observation window; namely, the greater the removal, the faster the rotation was.

EFFECT: discus for athletic throwing is used for training athletes, providing additional information about the throw; industrial implementation of the invention is based on the known technologies of regular components.
