FIELD: quantum technology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the steps of: a) obtaining a sifted quantum key data block S and a correction context K of the sifted quantum key data block; b) generating, based on the data obtained in step a, a frame correction context, during which a set of data for correcting frame bits is determined; c) restructuring the sifted quantum key data block S into a frame matrix; d) based on the obtained matrix, at step c, an error correction cycle is performed, in which the transmitter unit calculates the Stx syndrome based on the sifted key data and sends it to the receiver unit; the receiver unit calculates the Srx syndrome based on the original sifted key data received via the quantum channel; compares the syndromes Stx and Srx and calculates the difference ΔS; decodes the received value ΔS; calculates the residual vector based on the decoded value ΔS; corrects errors by adding the original sequence of bits of the sifted key with the resulting residual vector.
EFFECT: increased computational and information efficiency of the procedure for correcting errors in data transmitted between nodes of the QKD system with asymmetric load distribution.
