FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production of corrosion-resistant steel in arc steel-smelting furnaces for production of pipes and parts of oil and gas equipment operating under tensile stress in aggressive environments with a high concentration of chlorides. The method includes refining of steel during the production and finishing process in a ladle furnace installation, as well as portioned introduction with electromagnetic stirring of preheated rare earth additives of groups V - VIII of d-transition metals Ni, V, W, Re during the recovery period. After heat treatment of steel in the presence of residual stresses of 200-210 MPa, serviceability before failure was 1200 hours; when the load was reduced to 100-120 MPa, the time until failure increased by 30-40%. The use of d-transition refractory rare earth elements Ni, V, W, Re in the steel composition will increase the time to corrosion cracking by 80-90%.
EFFECT: resulting steel is suitable for nuclear, atomic, oil, and chemical industries.
