FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises steel casting at casting plant, teeming the melt into ladle, steel refining during teeming and finishing ay furnace-ladle assembly. During teeming into ladle, added is the flux thereto in amount of 4-10 kg per tom of steel and containing 40-85% of Al2O3 and 2.0-12.0% of CaO, aluminium in amount of 1.0-1.9 kg per ton of steel, lime in amount of 5-12 kg per ton of steel, silicon and manganese-containing ferroalloys in amount of 5-10 kg per ton of steel. During finishing, aluminium chop in amount of 0.3-2.0 kf per ton of steel is added to slag. Calcium-containing materials in amount of 0.05-0.2 kg per ton of steel are added to metal. At tapping. CaO/Al2O3 ratio in slag should not exceed 3.5. Note here that during finishing silicon carbide is added to metal in amount of not over 1.2 kg per ton of steel.
EFFECT: higher purity of steel as far as corrosive non-metal inclusions are concerned, longer life of pipes.
