FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: single photon detectors (SPDs). The claimed solution is a multi-channel SPD containing a housing with the following installed: an avalanche photodiode bias generator; output pulse shaper; recovery impulse shaper; temperature regulator; control system; at least two SPDs installed in the cooled volume, each of which contains an avalanche photodiode, a load resistor and an amplifier, while a temperature sensor and a thermoelectric converter are placed inside the cooled volume; in this case, the SPD amplifiers are connected to comparators; OR elements are installed, each of which is connected through the corresponding comparator with its own SPD, and in the event of activation of one SPD, a signal equal to the duration of the recovery pulse is transmitted from the mentioned SPD to the second SPD, which, in response to receiving the mentioned signal, blocks the comparator and generates a pulse restoring its avalanche photodiode.

EFFECT: increase of the speed of key generation by synchronizing the operation of single photon detectors within a single device.
