FIELD: pelletizers.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a control system and a method for controlling a pelletizer. The system includes a rotation speed controller, an inclination angle controller, a water supply controller, a material supply controller and a central processing unit. The central processor is configured to carry out the following steps: predicting classification indices of raw pellets based on the rotation speed of the pelletizer, the angle of inclination of the pelletizer plate, the amount of supplied material, the amount of supplied water, the type and proportion of each component in the mixed material, the percentage of binder in the mixed material and the initial moisture content of the mixed material to obtain predicted classification indices of raw pellets in multiple forecast periods; and optimizing, using a moving average optimization model, the pelletizer rotation speed, the pelletizer plate inclination angle, the amount of material supplied and the amount of water supplied based on the predicted classification index of the green pellets in each forecast period and the specified target classification index of the raw pellets in each forecast period, to control, in real time, the rotation speed of the pelletizer, the angle of inclination of the pelletizer plate, the amount of supplied material supplied to the pelletizer, and the amount of supplied water supplied to the pelletizer.
EFFECT: actual classification index of the raw pellets can meet the predetermined standard, and thus the pelletizing quality of the pelletizer can be improved.
