FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: rotor (1) of an engine or a generator has case (2, 3) containing inner hub (2) concentrical with central axis (7) of rotation of rotor (1). It also contains branches (3) passing radially to central axis (7) of rotation from inner hub (2) to rim (8) forming an outer annular contour of rotor (1). In each space limited between two adjacent branches (3), there is at least one magnetic structure (10) with a set of magnets (4). Case (2, 3) consists of a set of layers of composite material containing fibers bound with resin. Layers are located one on top of other, and fibers of each layer are oriented in predetermined directions (F1, F2) different for two layers located one on top of the other. On each of two opposite sides of case (2, 3) of the rotor, there is a radial overlapping shell consisting of a set of layers of composite material containing fibers bound with resin, located one on top of the other. Magnets (4) of magnetic structure (10) are connected to each other by means of resin reinforced with fibers.
EFFECT: increase in mechanical strength during rotation of a rotor at high speeds.
