FIELD: medicine; surgery; gastroenterology.
SUBSTANCE: fundoplication is performed laparoscopically by passing the fundus of the stomach behind the esophagus and forming a fundoplication cuff with three interrupted sutures. Additionally, the fundus of the stomach is fixed with three Z-shaped sutures to the left edge of the esophageal wall.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the load on the tissue, reduce the likelihood of cutting stitches, which leads to a reduced risk of developing perioperative complications, improves the functional results and quality of life of the patient; allows to achieve symmetry and prevent cuff deformation and slippage, and also ensures early activation of patients and early initiation of enteral nutrition.
